my trk had a slight "death" wobble when it would hit a hole on the interstate going 65-70mph. i'm not sure if the wheels actually were wobbling or if the tire that made contact with the hole was actually just bouncing.
any how, it doesn't do it as often now that i rotated the tires.
i still would like to double up on the steering dampeners. when i find a set

There was a show this weekend on Truck-U, all about the death wobble on a Jeep. They showed about changing the angle of things that cause the wobble. They replaced the trackbar on the Jeep, seemed to fix it. Sorry don't remember the channel
, but I know they replay all week long.

Death wobble has a lot of components that can trigger it along w/ wrong alignment and some tires.
Mostly it's a worn bushing or possibly bad BJ's. Putting on steering stabilizers is just a band aid. Dodge has a new steering set up w/ a "T" design instead of a "Y" design (w/ the drag link and tie rod bar w/ different ends). While it may not be a cure all for Death Wobble, but most have stopped w/ the new set up. I believe it's around $280 and additional for the stabilizer because the new S/S uses a clamp instead of a bolt hole in the tie rod.
