Dealer told me APPS sensor is going bad
Pay for shipping and I will send you the old one from my truck... you can play with it all you want and see what you can figure out... PM me if you want it. I found that it has a couple of dead spots but you should be able to figure out the voltages and spring rate.

do they not just work on voltage? like from 0-5 volts range? like if 1 volt is idle and 5 volts is wide open. it would be intresting to play with it once with a volume dial off a radio, you could just put a dial on the arm rest. as your driving you can just turn up your speed!! the tractors did this. you had the normal hand throttle and then a litte dial that you could just turn. you tossed the throttle wide open and then turned up the rpms to what you needed.

My APPS did the same thing last July...about 80,000 miles on the truck; dealer replaced it under warranty. I was 600 miles from home with the camper on the truck, managed to make it home....
Same symptoms and codes.

Well it has been 6 month and I have yet to replace the APPS. But is I am thinking time might be near. But let me point out something. This problem ONLY happens when the engine is cold in the mornings. I have never had it happen when I go home from work. Why does it just happen in the morning. How is the reset done?
Thanks for the help, Fred

You can try recalibrating the APPS by turning on the ignition (do not start) and slowly press the accelerator pedal all the way to the floor, then slowly ease off the pedal still it stops, turn off the ignition.
The APPS is an electronic device. Has a rheostat and quad channel amplifier circuits for the redundant throttle signals.
