Question Curious about codes

When i got my truck back from the dealer for some recall work i noticed my check engine light on when i got home. I wrote the codes down and called the service manager and gave him the codes. He said not to worry they were from the reflash on my tranny. The check engine light did go off after a few starts. but the codes are still in memory. I have unhooked the batteries overnight and even unplugged the boxes on the firewall and they are still there. Do the codes affect any engine performance untill they are cleared?? The codes are
P-2509
P-2146
P-0201
P-0202
The check engine light has not come on but the 1 time. I am just curious as to whether or not the computer takes any action on dormant codes untill they are cleared. Thnx in advance for any insight on this.

P0201 - Fuel Injector 1 Circuit
P0202 - Fuel Injector 2 Circuit
P2146 - Fuel Injector Group 1 Supply Voltage
P2509 - ECM/PCM Power Input Signal Intermittent

What do any of those have to do with the tranny??

It almost looks like they disconnected a bunch of stuff and left a couple of things loose.

I'd have someone else check it.....

You would definitely know it if those codes were active. If the supply voltage to the group 1 injectors (cylinders 1&2) was out, you would only be firing 4 cylinders.

There is no loss of performance if the codes are there in an inactive state.

At anytime the ECM is derating the engine, the check engine light will be on. If it is not on, you are getting full fueling.

There are times when something will fail mechanically that will not light the check engine light, but you'll know something is wrong.

I think they were trying to troubleshoot a noise complaint i asked about and didnt clear them or something. They told me on the phone that if the CE light went out and i was having no trouble, i would not need to bring it in. The truck is running really good. I just didnt know if the ECM takes any action concerning these stored codes.

thnx for replies guys. you answered my question bigblock2stroke. Ill just wait untill the next time i take it in and have them go ahead and clear em anyways. I am kinda leery of the dealer mech's. I definatly wont buy another truck from a dealer that primarily sells and services chevy's. I dont think they are up to speed on dodge diesels. interesting to note tho, i rarely see a dodge diesal in their service bay. mostly chevy territory there, so maybe i should give em a break as it appears they dont get much practice on the dodge diesal. haha
