Im gonna run it till its oil change time again and if it uses more than a quart its going to the dealer .

Did I understand your post to say that you don't check your oil often? With it having reman engine installed I would always be checking the oil and keeping a close eye on it until it had 7-8K on the engine. If it was mine I would also be pulling a oil sample just to CMA being you drove it 3 qts low on oil.

I wrote can, not will. Your truck would probably run better and get better MPG if you put some weight behind it once in a while. That's what they're designed for after all.
