Now if only it were cheaper than No2.

Id run bio, but all the places around here charge an arm and a leg MORE than diesel at any of the other pumps....

I can't even find it here. I thought Bio blend was supposed to be cheaper? I don't really know much about bio but why would it be more expensive?

A friend made his own for a short time but it got too messy and he doesn't drive his Dodge too much to worry about it.

I'd pay more for bio if I could get it.

Must just be price gouging, the station around here it is usually same price as regular diesel.

Yep, same here.

And the only place I know of is a good 35 miles away(one way), hardly worth the drive to pay MORE for bio vs no2

That's fair, but remember when you buy B-20 at least 20% of the profit is staying here in the good old USA, and not going to OPEC .

It may also play nicer with your injectors than straight ULSD. Mine sure seems to quiet down when I run B-20 anyway...

Not necessarily. I have heard rumors but have never seen proof that ULSD is bad for injectors. The petroleum companies say that the additives that are put into it properly lubricate the injectors. Cummins must agree. The allow 100% ULSD but have a problem with greater than 20% bio. Besides we have the oil in the US but our fellow tree huggers think it is better to import it from outside, than use our own supply which would be a LOT less expensive. Also the cost of diesel has risen greatly since our step from LSD to ULSD.

I've looked into doing my own biodiesel homebrew. I wonder if Cummins will approve B100? From what I've read, it costs about $0.70 per gallon to make. I guess it would be a messy project, but to save almost $2.00 a gallon, I think it would be worth it.

Stacked, where exactly are you at? There are a couple of stations that sell BIO off I35W.

If you know of any near Irving/GP/Arlington, im down for some B20 if its cheaper than no2
