Thanks. You know how that will go though. Dealer will jump in, and nothing..... Happens everytime. Guess we'll try. Thanks

It is very very hard to get a good electrical/driveablity guy. Dealers won't pay the money to keep the real good help. Dosen't matter what dealer or brand it is. If you weren't good in this department on Nissan's you were only an O.K. tech.... That's why most folks struggle working on them. I had a good guy locally but he left the dealer. The dealer is having to close anyway.... I still know where he works though... He lended me books for my company truck that nobody could fix...LOL I found the wiring issue and he fixed it. Slid him a twenty during a handshack for that one.

You might check your brake switch on the brake pedal. Mine will stick on and kick off the curse control. I have a bad switch down at the pedal. My two cents.

The install price is a little high. If you have any mechanical ability it would be a snap to do.

Noop,,, It is only a couple of bolts and it is located behind the passenger side battery. Follow the vaccum line.

That $250 price is too high, order one from dodgeparts.com and it will be around $130.

Replaced my vacume pump, I think the price was $90 for the pump. Better make sure they are wanting to replace the correct pump. I had a dealer parts guy tell me it was the same one used for the breaks. I actually had to take the pump in and have them look up the part number. They still did not believe me it was for the cruise. By the way, they are slated to close soon.

As stated before, it is on the passenger side behind battery. I did remove the battery and dropped the fender well to make the process easier.

I had a leak on the vacume line. I had to follow from the pump clear to other side of truck to find leak. The pump ran all the time and finally burnt up.

ok. i just did my pump. forgot to take pictures. sorry.

but it's pretty easy. pull the passenger side battery out. pull the fender liner
three screws hold the pump bracket to the side of the battery. bottom two screws should be removed from the bottom, top screw from the top. pretty easy job

Usually the vacumme line leak is on th drivers side under the battery from where it rubs the inner fender well. If yo have instlled larger tires then it will happen alot sooner because they will rub thru it. Don't waste your time buying the Dodge replacement vacume hose. You can get one for about $8 or less at any parts store. Been ther done that before the vacumme ppump burnt up.

so this is different from the hard plastic (thin diameter flexible) line that goes to the vac pump? I did a quick check and the line that goes to my vac pump holds some vacuum.
Just trying to figure out if I have to tear back into it today or not

Did you ever get your cruise fixed? I just bought an 04 2500 diesel and was driving to work this morning and the cruise just kicked off after about 3 minutes and it would no longer work at all, I haven't had the time to look into but I am trying to get ideas of what to look for when I get home.
