I'm using Howard cool down timer and it works great. If you hit the button and run in for a quick stop, leaving the engine running keys in your pocket, come back out put the key back in the ignition turn to the on position and the engine will never miss a beat. The timer only leaves the engine running, the a/c will not run with the key removed.

Let us know how your instal goes on the Howards I havent gotten around to ordering installing. I heard Howard didnot have the wiring scheme for the 06.
He was not sure if it was different from the 05 (which he has) or not.

Howards timer is 2, 4, or 6 minute cooldown. The install on my 05 took about an hour, and most of that time was trying to determine where to go through the firewall with the wires.

I have an 05 automatic and ended up drilling a small hole through the clutch hole plastic plate. You also have to drill a hole in the underhood fuse box to to pull a wire to the fuse used to control the timer.

The cooldown timer works great and as stated above it's no problem getting back in the truck to get back on the road while the cooldown timer is active. You just have to make sure you don't kick the key all the way to where the starter engages.

The price is right to, as compared to the timers offered at genos.com: $99 vs $239.

I've installed Howard's and it works great for the price, plus it fits in the small flat spot to the left of the steering column with double stick tape, nice snug fit.
