congrats to me
well, got 5 injectors out, now I am down to the last one in the back. couple quick questions:
do I need to keep the injectors in order, or does it not matter seeing as Don M is going to be taking them totally apart anyway?
the last injector, there is a bracket just behind it that looks like it is for a chain, when pulling the engine out. it has two 13mm bolts holding it in, which is blocking my wrench to take off the 24mm nut holding the high pressure tubes in place. whats the best way to get that bracket out of the way?
last. I think I now see what the mechanic was talking about with the erroding seat, when you take the injector out, and look into the hole it came from, there is a tiny hole where the nozzle goes in. it is visibly coroded, and jagged looking, the mechanic said that sending the injectors to Don wont fix the problem, but new injectors will.....why would that be the case? you cant take that hole out and have it fixed, and new injectors arent wider, they are the same...should I be worried about the holes being coroded?
well, I am gonna have a cold one, and think about how to get the last injector out.
thanks for everyones help!

welp, got them out...now I just need to send them out, wait a week and be back to living worry free.......until the next problem. I am hearing some clunking, and some gringing in the front wheels when in 4X...that should be fun.

I ended up going from the left side, and taking out the top bolt on the bracket, and then loosening the lower one just enough to spin the bracket to the right and get it out of the way. I dont know why I didnt try that before, I think I was just getting tired, I was on hour 6 (a couple breaks and some complications here and there).
as far as Don M. I am gonna go with the lowest stage, I dont need any more horse power, but I also dont want to get some really over priced stock cummins injectors that are just gonna go bad again. so I will take the small bump in HP and love the fact that my truck will start again.
