Common Rail Question

I am looking at buying a 04 Dodge H0. This truck has it all. But I also have a 00Dodge 24 valve. I was told by a guy that the common rail motor has had a few problems on the motor. I just need to some basic things about the new common rail motors...Like what r some of the most problems people have had on them if any. Thanks for your replys.

OK- first what is the description of the truck that you are looking at??
2nd, how many miles?
3rd, Search button works better than waiting for responses! Not badgering just informing!!
4th, The Common Rail Engines are very reliable engines. The fuel pumps and front ends are the biggest problem areas. Fuel mileage is a little lower than the 12valves and early 24valves. The 04 should have an 48re auto trans. Look to make sure that the engine says HO or 300 to 325 horsepower!! If the truck dosent have a hitch installed in the bed then you can assume she has never been really used. Good or bad that is your decision! Good Luck!

It has 81k miles, 6spd. dually. anythings else that you need to know. U think that any performance accesories could be added to increase the fuel milage.

YES: That in my opinion is the better choice for transmissions. The NV5600 is a great Truck transmission. The Fuel mileage can be increases by looking at your Tire Pressures, alignment, Fuel filter, oil, differential fluids etc. The less friction the better and more efficient the vehicle can be. There are some great products out there that will improve mileage as long as you can keep your foot out of it. QZilla XZT is a tow module that will increase your HP and TQ but will also increase UP TO 4MPG depending on terrain and driving habits. Duallys are always going to get a little worse mileage compared to a srw.

!!!Anything else????
