Agreed, Puget sound traffic is tough, manual tranny not a good option here. I used to say "I will never own an auto" some things do change. Not knocking the manual's...if I lived rural, my truck would be a manual. The manual clutches seem very expensive, I wonder what the average cost savings are, if any.

During the test drive make sure to listen for noises while steering that may indicate ball joints going out. Also check to make sure the all of the vents have the right temperature of air blowing out the them when selected (blend door).

Neither of the above have happened to my truck ::knock on wood::

I do believe blend door issues were related to the 06 mainly.
