Commander temp warning
Commander temp warning
Today after I backed up my drive and was idling the Commander flashed Temp 216. I checked the truck temp guage and it read normal at 200. When the truck cools I will check the coolant level and the fan.
I have had my commander for a year and this is the first time I have gotten a temp warning. Any recommendations???

ok, just throwing out an idea....Glad you were sure of the water temp. I really don't think 216 is all that high, many gassers run over 220. Maybe the combination of backing and warm weather caused the short rise in temp. Just a guess.

I would recommend checking the connection of the harness at the sending unit wire tap. I had the same thing happen to me in the past. While driving, the commander would flash 215* and then go back to normal. It was driving me nuts.
Finally I got fed up with it and decided to disconnect the commander harness from the wire tap @ the sending unit and then re-connect it. Since then, I've never had a problem. Apparently there was a bad connection.
