Fill out your sig please... Is this truck in Mexico or Alaska? Maybe wax in the filter? Have you put a bottle of fuel conditioner in yet?

Well it has been unseasonably cold in texas... As diesel cools the waxes gel in it, and I don't suppose you have winter fuel in Texas. Did you put a conditioner in yet?

Was this with the automatic high idle (1000 rpm) or using the manual high idle controlled with the cruise controls (1100 - 1500rpm)? If the latter, it is perfectly normal and it happens intermittently.

Mine doesn't lope on high idle! I can set it anywhere and it doesn't lope.... Cold, warm, mine is smooth like the tach needle is welded in place....

Not a problem. I have heard of this on several trucks before. Dosen't hurt anything, just sounds cool...

IT ONLY LOPES AT THE AUTOMATIC HIGH/COLD IDLE, DOES HAVE AN INTERESTING SOUND TO IT, LIKE IT WANTS SOMETHING TO DO IN A HURRY. AS SOON AS YOU TOUCH THE BRAKE OR GAS PEDAL IT GOES BACK TO IDLE WITH NO FURTHER LOPING (OR ANXIETY)

Mine has not loped while in the auto high idle. Not sure that is normal.

A lot of people say 'normal' but mine doesn't either, smooth as glass. Don't know what it might be but I wouldn't like the lope. Sounds kind of like a slight difference in fuel volume between the injectors that would show at low RPM and be lost in higher ranges.

I've got the same "lope" and trust me, it's more annoying than cool. It also started this fall (@74,500 miles) High idle enabled, 5 micron filter, powerservice additive, winter fuel, clean air filter.....I checked everything. I drive the crap out of it so I ruled out carboned up nozzles. Took it to the Dealer (still under warr.) and convinced them to order new injectors. I'll post with the results. Anyone else?????

Mine does it intermittently on manual or auto High-Idle.

This morning it was 34 degrees, I started her and manually activated H/I to 1200RPM's and she would go through cycles of loping and normal...Normally if she lopes it's constant until I shut off H/I.
