Code P0251

I was on the highway today doing 70 with the cruise on. The truck started to lose power going up a hill. I clicked off the cruise and got on the throttle so I wouldn't get run over. As soon as I did the engine cut out for a second then went back to full power. The check engine light came on so I pulled over to check things out. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary so I headed for home. About 10 miles later the engine cut out for a second then returned to normal. Drove fine the rest of the way home. Checked for codes at home and got p0251.
If anyone has any input it would be greatly appreciated.

P0251 is a Injection pump rotor/cam- Circuit Malfunction. Depending on How many Miles are on the truck it should be covered By your warranty.

I got my new one at 4,000.

Thumbs up

The truck is back and running well! I dropped the truck off on Tuesday, they told me it needed a new pump on Wednesday and it was ready to go Thursday morning. Service manager overnighted the part no charge! Great service from Metro Chrysler in Columbia, IL.
