Question coasting downhill....tranny concern?

I've noticed that at highway speeds....or anything over 40mph for that matter....when heading downhill with the speed control on the truck seems to hitch and jerk a bit. Is this the tranny and speed control working to maintain speed and avoid overspeeding? I would think it would be alot smoother. Almost like someone is tapping the brakes. Just don't want to ign ore it if its a tranny problem I should have the dealer look at. only 1500 miles on it. 48RE 4 speed.

It's grade braking - your transmission is downshifting and locking to try to maintain the speed you set with the cruise control
