is the [hyd. upgrade manditory or recommended] the pedal feel is close to factory, any one tryed the centerforce, the idea of the light pedal but increased holding power at higher rpm due to the centrifical wieghts sounds like a good idea, i need one pretty bad just cant make up my mind either. i used to make 46+ lbs want even hold 30 now.

for g56 the hydraulic upgrade is mandatory. imo the centerforce is not in the same league as even the sb stock hp clutch- if you're going to do it you should do it right and sb is the path to clutch happiness.

got ya, same story as every one else must be that good, my mind is made up on the sb con ofe, dont know my hp or tq. numbers but by boost readings i think ill be 450-500 range sure the ofe is up for it do you know what the rate it for? for my driving the fe is prob. ok i hear its jerky somewhat, i dont drive in traffic very much, how jerky is it, and is it still friction material all the way around or those little pucks?

the ofe is rated for 450hp.
friction material all the way around

there are many factors as to how much a clutch will hold. driving style, usage, how fast the power comes in, etc.
these CR motors make so much tq at low rpm, you can easily overwhelm a clutch if you arent using your head.
my ofe has lasted a year now, with about 15 dyno runs, all over 500 hp, 1 sled pull and a bunch of hotrodding. but i do not slip it or ride the clutch.

Dual Disc... Probably a little more than you need (and I need), and the pedal pressure is significantly more. However, longevity and the huge amounts of power you can push with these clutches are amazing.

Yep, but the extra time it takes for me to disengage and re-engage the clutch actually cost me time. But again, with the handshaker, I guess I didn't by the truck to drag race... But catch me on the highway in fifth/sixth, and on level 9 this things pulls...
