clutch question

I have a 2005 6 speed. I am wondering what clutch to get if im running a super chip programer. I don't want a very hard clutch when I push it in. I din't plan on doing anything more than just the super chip.

A single disk if you don't want any increased pedal pressure. Also, if you are absolutely sure you are not going to add any power products on, than a good single disk will be more than adequate to handle the power. Right now if you have the G-56 I know South bend makes a good single disk clutch. Can't remember, but if you have a NV5600 then Luk makes another good single disk clutch.

You do need a clutch, but a few other things you will need would be gauges, and i would trash the supper chip and get a smarty. But if you are happy then your happy.

south bend con ofe- if you have a g56 you will need the hydraulic upgrade which raises the price by $200.

I put alot of power through an OFE and i like the engagement of it over the FE i had before.... my OFE lasted just a hair under 200k miles and there were twins involved on a 12 valve and alot of towing. When i sold the truck it had a new ofe and the next owner put down even bigger hp number and the clutch took it.

i am putting 540 hp, and almost 1200ftlbs with twins through an OFE. it has NEVER slipped. it is easy to drive, the pedal pressure feels the same as stock to me. i dont recommend running that kind of power through it, but at 450 hp it toys really nice. good for daily driving.

I have a tst r49ap and the BDTD with a luk clutch. I've got the NV5600. Daily driving it's great except for being jerky when trying to back with a trailer. But when on the dyno it slips. I was at tst in coloumbus a few weeks ago and it gave out and started slipping at 950 ft. lbs.

the sb con ofe for a g56 is $1000 plus $200 for the hydraulic upgrade. i've heard of people paying anywhere from $250-$450 for install- no matter where you purchase from the price will be very similar within $50-$100.

If your reverse is located all the way to the left and down, you have the G-56... If it is up and to the right you have the the NV 5600....
