clutch question
clutch question
I have a 2005 6 speed. I am wondering what clutch to get if im running a super chip programer. I don't want a very hard clutch when I push it in. I din't plan on doing anything more than just the super chip.
A single disk if you don't want any increased pedal pressure. Also, if you are absolutely sure you are not going to add any power products on, than a good single disk will be more than adequate to handle the power. Right now if you have the G-56 I know South bend makes a good single disk clutch. Can't remember, but if you have a NV5600 then Luk makes another good single disk clutch.

I put alot of power through an OFE and i like the engagement of it over the FE i had before.... my OFE lasted just a hair under 200k miles and there were twins involved on a 12 valve and alot of towing. When i sold the truck it had a new ofe and the next owner put down even bigger hp number and the clutch took it.
i am putting 540 hp, and almost 1200ftlbs with twins through an OFE. it has NEVER slipped. it is easy to drive, the pedal pressure feels the same as stock to me. i dont recommend running that kind of power through it, but at 450 hp it toys really nice. good for daily driving.

the sb con ofe for a g56 is $1000 plus $200 for the hydraulic upgrade. i've heard of people paying anywhere from $250-$450 for install- no matter where you purchase from the price will be very similar within $50-$100.
