While doing an oil change on my truck today, I decieded to take an air hose to the back of the radiator. Wow is all I can say. The amount of sand/silt/dust that came out was amazing. I have 50K miles on the truck and don't do any off roading with it. I did have it on the beach in NC for two weeks about a year ago. I guess all that dirt was from just every day highway/secondary road driving. Any one else try this?

 

you should see what happens to the 2nd gen trucks between the radiator and intercooler!!
except instead of dirt and sand it is OIL dirt and sand.
my 01 overheated before I figured out how dirty it was...
