As an aircraft sheetmetal engineer, I can tell you the brackets are cracking due to improper smoothing of the edges before being stamped, how lazy can you get!

Re:Check those alternator brackets boys!

Ok 2 weeks up, called rockwall dodge today and guess what? no alternator bracket, had not even been ordered, I have had it with these morons over there, called up main office in michigan, and got some upper managment involved. case and point, the reason I am going ballistic on this is because they tell me there is no crunch sound coming from left front suspension during turn (which there is) had the service manager ride w[me=Mark Thomas]and confirm it, and there is no vibration coming from front end, Good god are these guys affiliated with the maffia or something?[/me]

Got mine changed at Crosstown Motors in Edmonton on Thursday last week. This is the first one that they have had to change, no problem, good service.

Re:Check those alternator brackets boys!

I've got the cracks. Tech at the dealer was trying to convince me those rusty lines that go all the way through are "casting flash".

The 4th guy that looked at it was the Service manager, who told #1-3 to order me a new bracket.
