I also have a sebring and my engine light came on and I have two codes P-0456 & P-1684.
Any help with the code would be great.

Year and engine? 2 door or 4 door?

 

2001 and it has a 2.4 litre motor

 

2 door 4 door , convertible? It makes a difference

 

Those codes are not valid for any model of Sebring for 2001 model year.........

 

P0456 Evaporative Emission Control System Leak detected (very small leak)
P1684 Battery has been disconnected within the last 50 starts.

 

2002 Sebring - may be different if an 01 has been re-flashed to the latest software -
P0456 - EVAP LEAK MONITOR LEAK DETECTED

Still nothing for P1684

 

OBDII codes are generic for all make of vehicles up to code number P0849. After that, each make may have their own special codes. On my OBDII scan tool manual, it shows the P1684 under Chrysler products as the battery has been disconnected.
