Cavitation question

I'm a former 7.3 powerstroke owner. That engine was know for engine cavitation problems in the coolent system. It actually put small holes in the block. There is a additive used in the coolent system to prevent this from happening. Do I have to worry about this in my 2006 CTD?

I recall seeing something in the owner's manual that this isn't necessary with the DC approved coolent our trucks are shipped with. I also had a 7.3 and added 2 bottles every coolant change and thought it was a diesel thing when I got the CTD.

Cavitation is not a big problem on parent bore blocks like the Cummins B series. Use the Cummins/Dodge recommended product and you should be good.
