anti-cavitation additive?

My fan went through my radiator a few months ago. The bolts that hold the fan mount to the block broke. You might want to check yours. Anyway, I replaced the radiator and bolts with no problems. Recently, I have heard several conversations about cavitaion problems with diesels and the pitting it can cause. Is this a problem with Cummins? If so, where do I get the additive? I have asked several people and they didn't know what I was talking about.

Not a problem with the Cummins. The engines don not have cylinder liners. They are parent bore. No additives are needed.

Lightbulb Conditioner

I use Fleetguard coolant conditioner to keep the waterpump seals and the ph balance in check. Use it on all of my diesel generators.
Jim.

Cummins recomends changing coolant every 24,000 miles in part to prevent cavitation. Anti cavitation addatives are recommended for Fords International engines - not sure about Chev.
