She was pretty good with all the stuff I had done to my 2002. When I was getting ready to trade it, she wasn't so understanding!! She asked me what I wanted on this truck...I told her you know...just gauges, maybe a box, and an exhaust brake. She let me know I was in luck, I could use the stuff I had already bought!! She didn't like my answer, that all those items on the 2002 couldn't be used on the new truck!

Took a while to convince her that I was sure I couldn't make my box or exhaust brake work on the new truck....

The dumbist thing I ever did was let her know that I have a file on the truck as to what I've spent on it. All reciets in a folder in the file cabnet. When she totaled up $12,000 in add ons since I bought it. She has been playing catch up ever since.

Yep - you spend 500, they spend 500. That's why I cannot afford anything for my truck. - JKE

Mine just blew a gasket over the guages I installed. "Why did you buy this truck then? If it was so important they would have put guages in it! I thought you said it was the best engine around!" Well, I had to leave for work then, so I have a fight waiting for me when I get home this morning....

you didn't mess with it for a few hours, right? I'd call a few hours "a while"

I've always put it to my girl like this: "which would you rather me mess with... fast cars or fast women?"

I don't use it as a threat or anything, but I just point out the fact that a LOT of guys I know sleep around a lot, go to the strip clubs all the time, etc. etc. etc.

she used to complain that I would always buy a car, spend a bunch of time and money on it, and get bored with it and sell it soon after I got it on the road... I pointed out that lots of guys treat women like that, and I don't!

I never claimed to be perfect, but sometimes you gotta remind 'em just how good of a catch you really were

I'm so good, I haven't had to buy her a ring yet! (we hit 5yrs this past April)

You guys have seen the Mastercard "Priceless" commercials right? You ought to have seen my wifes face when I said I needed a hole saw kit so I could use it on my month old 04.5. Was just the airbox, but she heard "hole saw" and "new truck" and about blew a gasket.

Yeah, I can relate to that one. Taking the 6" hole saw to the bed of the truck for the stacks within two weeks of having this one really went over well.
