Caught Red Handed....

After being found under the hood with the tools in the garage. "Why do you have that quilty look on your face.....oh..you promised"........

I was working on the new truck within 24 hours and the purchasing department wasn't happy! She said all she asked was that I not mess with it for a while.

I wasn't messing with it hun' I was making it breath better, it didn't need the silencer ring or baffles!!

They just can't seem to understand that the factory doesn't do a good enough job and they need us to do the engineering for them.
"If it's not good enough then why did you buy it?"
" Why didn't you just buy one that has all this stuff on it already?"
Mine doesn't seem to mind the free mods like you were doing. She gives me a little crap when I start spending money though. If she only knew the half of it...

My mom asked me why I modify my truck. It was perfectly fine from the factory. And this is what I told her, "It was satisfactory from the factory. Now it's almost perfect."

2 days after I brought it home from the dealer. The wife found out I was down at the tire store getting upgraded, she called me on the cell phone and tenderized my ear drum.

Sometimes it's better to just do it and hear about it rather than ask and do it anyway. I found that waiting 'til she's out of town is best to do things, heck most the time she doesn't even notice!

my wife is pretty cool about everything. i just bought a new 2005 CTD 600 ( "New Truck" ) and the first thing she asked is "when are we going to straight pipe it?" i guess she liked how the 2003 sounded.

God i love this woman

My wife usually wants to test out the mods right after they go in. That's how I got the South Bend Con OFE - she was test driving it an hour after the DD2's went in and nailed it at 1800 RPM in 5th gear! Her next comment was "Why is the (stock) clutch slipping?" The next day, the Con OFE was on order.

You know what they say, it's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.

My financing department wont let me play with it for a wile. She wants nerf bars and that is abought all she will allow. She says I have tomany other expensive toys. 2 new ATVs and a several hundred dollar nitro powered RC car, I guess I cant argue to much. Some day I will have rims and tires and grafix and flares.
