carrier question

Will a limited slip unit out of a 04 duramax fit our 11.5 rears.I found one for 100 bucks.Thanks in advance.

do d-maxes run 11.5 rears?? if they do then it "should" fit but I don't have any first hand experience with theses axles..

I believe that the dmax rear end is a 11.5 but it is slightly different cant recall whats different and the guts are not interchangable with the dodge.

Yep - the Chevys also use AAM axles, but I believe a different traction-aid design.

For $100 I'd buy it and try. If it doesn't work I'm sure you could sell it for what you paid.

Thanks for the info guy's.I went ahead and bought it.It is different its a ratcheting style.Soon as i find carrier bearings I'll try it and let all know. thanks.
