cant we just add sulpher?

cant we just add sulpher?

with every fillup, isent there some way to add sulpher to bring the level up? like to 500 ppm? or higher if thats better.

sulphur is not a lubricant ...
when you remove sulphur you decrease the lubrication of diesel fuel ...

you don't want more sulphur ... you want another form of lubrication

Yeah, what you said, it it the process used to remove the sulfur that also removes some lubricity. A decent refiner adds lubricity back before sending it to the racks.

The sulphur is bound up in the the long chain molecules and aromatics. Its just a part of the chemical make up of the fuel.

One you break it you can't put it back together again.
