Can't wait to be back in a Cummins

Hello all, Haven't posted in ages here...After having my 98' 24V then a 06' my business hit hard times and I had to sell the 06'. Bought me a 2000 Powerstroke and had it now for 2 years and must say, been reliable...did a few mods and the Tuner thing ....THEN...I bought me a new Bri-Mar dump trailer (Uh-Oh!!!!) and loaded her up with about a total including trailer of 11,000lbs. Um, Well......The Ford is for sale . Can't wait to get my butt back behind back a 05-06 ish Cummins, those powerstrokes are great empty but with a load, uphill on the highway....forget it. Anyways, I am probably about 60 days out from owning another Cummins but I am so excited I had to post anyways . I just remember the good old days of pulling 11K up hills and GAINING speed easily...can't wait!!!!

Are you comparing the Ford to the 06 dodge? sorta like apples to oranges. the 99-00 fords were like 235/500. and the 06 dodge is 325/ 610.
i went through a short stak of 'truck trend' magazines to double check that. found an article that was done in 01 comparing a sweet red 3/4 sport dodge, a 7.3 ford and a chevy d-max. found some other articles that were anticipating the common rail dodges coming out. one said we think it will have 275 hp and 550 ft lbs. then in another mag there was articles talking about the new 03 rams. pretty cool to have those now

ah yes; gaining speed uphill!!! should have seen the look on my friends faces the first time we pulled my toyhauler with my 04.5 ctd. we had the a/c on, running 65 and before we got to the top of a hill; we were doing 80+ and blew past a d-max pulling a trailer that had to be half the weight
