Can my truck do it?

Alright I just bought a boat, and got a new ATV out of the deal. The Tongue weight of the boat is approx 800#. The ATV will weight another approx 800#. The boat will weigh about 9000#. Will my 2006 QC Cummins handle the payload and tongue weight?

It is about 65 miles from my house. Should I have another friend follow me with his truck or can I get it on my own?

Thanks in advance for your input!!

Tony

No problem for the truck, just watch your speed and make sure the trailer brakes are working properly.

wouldnt even think twice. i just hauled 3200 lbs worth of plywood in my bed plus a 11400 lbs ball hitch trailer loaded with a little more lumber and a Cherokee chief up and over Highway 50 i would wager my load was alot more than you are thinking about.

pretty simple load i used to haul alot more weight than that with these little ole trucks gas or diesel

Easy pull, just make sure you have trailer brakes and a class 4 or 5 reciever on your truck for the hitch.

Yeah I hauled 1 1/2 yards of pea gravel in my short bed Ram 2500... then went back and got a second load....

At about 2800 - 3000lbs / yard.... I'd say you were good to go!!!

My boss came to me the other day and said (I'm not making this up, I swear):

boss: "You own travel trailer, right?"
me: "Yup."
boss: "Then maybe you can help me out, I'm having a heck of a time finding a 5th wheel hitch for my Ranger, you think you could help me out?"
me (trying to hold back a burst of laughter): "uh...I think there might be a good reason why those are hard to find."
boss (after an awkward silence): "Why would that be?"
