Calling all TSB guru's

I have just over 2k on the new beast, averaging about 13.5 mpg both highway and around town. No real increase since mile one. Towed the 7k lb boat a couple of times with no discernable decrease in mpg. Was hoping to start seeing an increase in mpg by now. After reading all the posts from you guys and the benefits of TSB 18-037-04, I went to the dealer where I bought it and requested the flash. They checked the VIN and said that that TSB is not available for my truck - 04 with a July 2004 build date. Even showed me the screen which did list a couple of TSB's but not the number you guys refer to. I think 18-003-04 was the highest.
Am I missing something? HELP . . . with diesel @ $2.29/gal. this break-in period is eating me out of house & home!!

TSB 18-037-04 Eng Build Dates 12/10/03 to 8/17/04 Eng S/N 57130285 to 57246361. There are a couple of links to the actual TSB hard copy on a couple of the flash threads.

What is DC's official policy on performing the TSB? Meaning, some dealers will perform it if you ask for it, other dealers fight about it and want to verify it and give a big run around about it. My local dealer said they won't touch it unless they confirm the symptoms and truck has 10,000 miles on it. Dealer I bought it from says it will cost $80 to perform because I asked for it. Dealer 90 miles away said no problem when I talked to them on the phone and never even set foot in their dealership. I even called DC directly and got the run around about it. I would think that DC would set the policy and the dealers go by that. Not the case with my dealership.

Can anyone tell me if this tsb 18-004-04 will work on my truck. im wanting the high idle feature that i can control through the cruise controls and i heard this does it? something to do with poor cab heat, which mine does take forever to heat up... anyways if anyone could help me out on this i would appreciate it, thanks!
