A/C barely cold

Of course Im in a freakin heat wave!!

It seems like when it gets over 85 out the A/c barely is cold. Its definitely working somewhat but not to the degree it should. I drove for 45min and it didnt even get cold enough to stop me from melting lol But later on that night turned it on..and it got cold enough that I turned it down.

WTH?! Any tips, ideas...need to be recharged? Please help..the leather seats are killing me and I swear I might rip them out next time I get out cause they are stuck to me!

I always use recirculated air...isnt that the norm to get it and keep it cold? ( unless the cab is stinky lol)

I think it isnt working at all....till I turn off the a/c and blow air..then turn it on, then I feel the SLIGHT difference. Its aggravating! This giant PITA of mine just has to last 1 more year...then I'm torching it.

Sadly...my dream truck has been 1 thing after another. **** thing looks so nice too. Too bad it keeps breaking on me!

check your freon levels. my truck has burned through 3 ac compressors, and multiple other ac parts for the last 2 years (under warranty) but this is the first year out of warranty and my ac is acting up again!

Pick up a Quest A/C charge hose with a guage on it with metal fittings. You can use it to check the freon status without attaching a can of R134A. If you need to add freon, just attach a can, puncture it, set the temp reference on the guage (outside temp) and add freon until the needle in the guage reaches the range shown for the temp.

I see you are in TX. Im in Ottawa Canada...I use the A/c maybe 2 months of the year lol

But that sucks. Dont even get me started on warranty. I have a contract thats says I got a 120k but the dealer says its 80. And guess what? Chrysler doesnt give a flying hoot.

Sounds like your are low on refrigerent. Very common with these trucks. It seems to be a constant battle..LOL By the way, 85 isn't hot. It was over 100 her today with a heat index of 113 to 117 deg. F.
