My ac is not blowing cold? I washed out the radiator and condenser. I have no bent fins on the condenser. I have the right amount of freon in. My compressor is running. Any ideas? I'm stumped. Thank You

 

Blend or temp door?

 

I here the doors opening and closing. And it goes from panel to floor to defrost. It also goes from hot to cool. So???? I guess it's all working correctly.

 

When you say not blowing cold is the cold temperature not there or the flow of air not there?

Temperature is not there. Plenty of fan air.

 

Low on Freon? if so, change your hoses. Usually, they are the source of a Freon leak.

 

As stated in my original post. I am good on freon. No leaks.

 

when mine does this about every 3 to 4 years, I put one can of 134 a in good for 3 to 4 years, you are entitled to ride around in hot p/u if u want to;;

 

As stated I have the right amount of freon. I wish this was the problem. It would be a easy fix.

 

Is your receiver dryer getting cold? Could be a blockage in the system. Pressures will be somewhat normal but the blockage is what's causing the higher temps

 

Where and how can I check that? Can I blow air into the drain tube to back feed it?

 

The receiver dryer is the aluminum canister on the passenger side close to fire wall. It should be getting nice and cold to the touch and even sweat from the moisture in the outside air. If it's not getting cold there may be a blockage due to the compressor wearing out and sending debris through the system. Our systems use an orifice tube that can clog very easily!

 

And the steps to unclogging it? Or take it to the professionals?

 

If it's clogged you need to remove the refrigerant and replace the receiver dryer, orifice tube and flush the lines out. So basically yes, take it to the pros to have it done right.

 

Now wait a minute, how do you now you have enough Freon?

Does the Compressor stay kicked on, or is it cycling?
