Broken vacuum hose

I had just finished replacing my water pump, when I broke this vacuum hose that runs along the inside of the engine compartment. I have no idea what this vacuum line is for?? See the attached pictures. The first is the hose, the second picture has an arrow pointing to the pump it's connected to. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to repair the hose? (Heat shrink tubing?) Thanks

Its for the A/C damper doors. And you can get flexible vacuum line at any auto parts store, just replace all of it with the flexible stuff.
