For those of you that have flushed your fluid, about how much did you use? Obviously this should vary a little based on wheelbase configuration, albeit not much though, but a ball park figure would be great. Thanks.

I used 2 of the big bottles (not sure the quantity off hand) and it was not enough to finish. I need to go buy some more.

I would say to do it complete and correct, 4 big bottles will be enough.

Start by sucking all the old fluid out of the resevoir. A small turkey baster works really well. Then refill with clean fluid before starting the pumping/flushing process.

Thanks guys,

Rockcrawler, just off a guess, about how big would you say the bottles were that you used?, quart maybe? Biggest I've found locally and on the internet is about 12 oz.

Bob, yeah that's what I felt was the best course of action too. I bought a motive power bleeder, basically for putting slight pressure on the system. I'll suck the old stuff out of the reservoir and then continue refilling it with new fluid as it bleeds through.

I just bought 2 more today. They are 32oz each. I got them from WalMart. Prestone synthetic DOT3 for $4.77 each.

I also did what .bob said. Sucked as much as I could then refilled before starting to flush.
