Under normal driving conditions it is true. I can turn my TST on 9/9 and my truck will run fine if I'm just tooling around town without getting into it hard. The big problem occurs when you hook a trailer up behind that truck and it seems to tow it so easily when the boxes are turned up. It's towing it easily alright but all that torque is wreaking havoc on the trans...

I'am not going to go into detail, leave that for the tranny wars. So that's why your pressures are around 65-75 psi at idle and the more you increase throttle the higher the line pressure becomes all the way up to around 150 psi or higher on modified transmissions. Your unmodified transmission does the same thing except the pressures are not as high as a modified one. the modified transmission also bring on the pressures faster.
