Blowby only after long idle.

Blowby only after long idle.
My '06 is pissing me off. Have had it for about two months. Had to replace one injector after coil shorted out. No big deal. But on one trip right after I bought it I get 'check gauges' ding and lose oil pressure. Turns out it was 8 quarts low. My fualt for not checking before I bought it. Check oil for weeks and the level does not move at all. Then all of a sudden it was two quarts low.(?)
I have checked for blowby a few times by removing oil cap and only very very minimal, nothing to be worried about. But twice while idling for about 10 minutes or so smoke rises around the truck from engine compartment. First time just shut it off, and everything was fine. Today I drove about a mile pulled over and checked blowby. There was no more visible smoke around the engine, but had lots of smoke coming from the valve cover when I took the cap off.
Has anyone else had only occasional blowby? I never have smoke while driving and it runs perfect with excellent MPGs. If it was a ring wouldn't blowby be more present at higher rpms and lower while idling? And I am not getting an oil drips, and this truck has never had oil anywhere under it. It's as dry as a bone.
Also, probably unrelated, after sitting for several hours, when it starts it smokes white for a few seconds. I figured it was a leaky injector.
Any ideas on where to start with this thing?

If your truck is sitting and you start is and you have lots of smoke, what color is the smoke? White indicates unburned fuel.
Have an injector contribution test done and that will determine your issue or give you peace of mind.
Good luck
