we just bought our 05 cummins, and there is not a cord for a heater.( or mabye no heater at all) is this not a factory option for the heater?if not how much $ are they and how easily are they installed. i live in wisconsin and it can get pretty cold here. thanks for your help

 

the block heater is there, you will just need to buy the cord. the dealer sells it for i think like 30$ or somthing rediciolous like that. you can get the same cord from cummins for about 10$

 

Just got mine from the Cummins dealer $11.50 with tax. Go to the Cummins dealer if you want to save $20 bucks or so. Oh by the way the heater is located right above the oil filter. If you don't have small hands you'll need to remove the intake pipe.

my brother in-law's truck didn't come with one either. He brought it back to the dealer and they installed it for free. You live in the northern states it is included in your purchase. Ask and it might just be free???!!!
