BlackStone Lab Oil Report
BlackStone Lab Oil Report
Since this is my first time getting a oil analysis done, how does it look?? I guess Iron is a little but they say not to worry to much yet. During this last interval I did drive to Denver and back to Eugene pulling a trailer. My question is, what classifies as heavy towing??
Can you get a better photo of your report as it's very hard to read. As for your question "what classifies as heavy towing??" everyone has a different point of view on it as some say any thing over 4,000 lbs and yet others say 10,000 lbs and above is heavy towing.
Did you click on the image after clicking on the attachment? Should zoom you in, or make it full size.(Unless you are running some really high resolution on your pc)
I just hate being on a back up computer that is running Win 98 SE
I'll sure be glad when I can find a new main board for mine.
3 gallons went into the truck, I did not send them 3 gallons, I only send them enough that fit into their container.

Im just waiting to change my oil here pretty soon.
Who did you end up going with?
I also know some Napas will do oil analysis...
I just ordered a kit from www.blackstone-labs.com/ it is free for the kit, all you pay for is shipping back and the test. It was $22.50 dollars for the test I think.

For example, say your truck leaks a quart in 5K miles and you have to add oil in order to keep it topped off.....your make up oil would be one quart. You marked on your Blackstone slip that the make up oil was 3 gallons
I'm not sure you are getting what "make up oil" is. Make up oil means any additional oil during the miles on the sample.

Hmm, I just figured(like im guessing he did) that it is the amount of oil the sample was taken from. That the 4oz sample came from his 3gallon change.
Well, guess I wont mess that up when I send my sample in here soon...
