Which Bilsteins for Smoothest, Most Comfortable Ride? 5100 or blue and yellow HDs?

2003 3500 SRW, stock ride height.

I drive a lot of highway and want it to be at least as smooth and comfortable as it is now with 150,500 miles on it (which really isn't bad for a 1 ton).

Thanks!

Blue and yellow are valved for your truck. The 5100's are generic. I think the colors are stupid looking, but love the shocks.

4x4, you want the 5100s and also get the steering stab, it is a big improvement over stock. I've had both, they are the same ride, but 5100s have boots and look alot better.

I have the blue/yellow, and they significantly stiffen the ride of the truck when empty. However, they also keep the tires on the dirt and the truck no longer tries to dance off the road on washboard surfaces. Definately a big improvement over stock. With some weight in the truck they are very comfortable.

Hmmm.... not what I was hoping for

Stiff, like BMW 3-series stiff but still controlled, or stiff like racer-boy Honda Civic lowered three inches with 20" wheels and 30-series tires??

I think they make the ride tighter but not harsh and rough.

Order the HD blue and yellow from Shockwarehouse.com, search for a coupon and be happy. I paid something like $240 for the set delivered to my door. Next day air.
With a case of beer.
And a topless Brazillian girl to open the beers for me.
And rub my back.
And it's true about the Brazillian wax.
And then a guy came over and put the shocks on for me.
He then changed the oil.
He used all his own tools and even cleaned my shop.
Then he left ME a tip.
Then he mowed my lawn.

So if anyone says they got a better deal on shocks, I want to hear it.

Don't pay more than $240 delivered.

More like the Beemer. Stiff but not really harsh, and with a bit of a load they are SMOOTH! The improvement in handling on rough surface roads more then makes up for the increase in stiffness with the empty truck. I got mine from Geno's and was pleased with the service.
