They are a wear and tear item.....drive a lot of rough roads? My Monroe Reflex shocks have about 175k on them, I know they're shot, been that way for a while now.....just need to pony up the cash and replace them.

So, yes, it is very possible that they are worn out to the point they will no longer function properly.

I think I have 1 bad one. I looked last night at the Bilstein site and it says they are lifetime warranty and to contact the place of purchase for a replacement. I'll be looking for my paperwork where I got mine after a trip this weekend.

This is from their website:

WARRANTY DETAILS FOR TC (B4) / C / HD (B6) / Sport (B8) / BTS (B12) / PSS (B14) / PSS9 & PSS10 (B16) / 5100 (Application Specific) GAS PRESSURE SHOCKS

LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY

Bilstein warrants to the original retail purchaser that, for the life of each Gas Pressure Shock, this product shall be free from defects in material and workmanship. Proof of purchase is required process warranty. Please return product to the original place of purchase.

Definitely first go with warrantying them. IIRC one of the members here (Scotty) warrantied his old ones and they honored it with new ones.

Well I replaced the stock "heavy duty offroad package" ones at 50k and they were shot so I figured these might be getting worn too. Checked my tire pressure today and all tires were 10lbs low. I think that might have been most of my problem because it rode ok the few miles I drove it so far.
