biggest tire on dually with no spacer?

biggest tire on dually with no spacer?

i'm sure its been covered here somewhere but didn't find it.
i'm gonna go tomorrow and order new tires, what is the biggest size i can get on my dually? i'm getting nittos, right now i'm on 235s, i would like to go 285s but dont have the cash for the rear spacers.

I put 265-70-17's on my 03. They are close but don't rub togather, maybe 1/2 to 2/3 inch between them.

A truck with 265-70-17 would be wider than stock but a hair shorter than
the stock 235-80-17
