As far as supporting, it just sits in there. It can't go anywhere! I remember it was kinda rubbing on a biggish wire/cable but I just moved it. It probably should have an Outerwear on it but I hadn't gotten around to getting one...and it's been on there two years! It's gettin' pretty dirty...'bout time for another one or a Whistler.

I bought a used BHAF from a member here, but I didn't like the way it sat there with no support. I was going to sell it, but if you have no issues, maybe I'll install it.
I can't see that much difference half a year could make, I have an 04.5 witha n afe toruque tube mouted on the turbo, and on the other end a bhaf, 2790. with an outerwears cover I might add....... Might have to get ya a pic since I don't have one, if ya wanna see it, I guess I could take one.

the bhaf 42790 has the best efficiency rating of all practicle filters and flows well because of its size so thanks for the practical install ideas and any on a bracket to hold the filter

42790 is either a napa or wix number equiv of the 2790. I just drilled a hole for the IAT sensor to just barely fit in, and then used two self tappers into the tube, not hard, only tight spot is the battery bracket, trimmed for clearance, not a big deal, work on a cold motor or ya might burn yourself bad
thanks guys the BHAF is the best filter for filtration over all others and the size flows as good as any so its the way i have been wanting to go on the 05 i have the afe stage 2 and stock on the 07 and want to switch both to the BHAF so from what i see here i can do both thanks again everybody
Mine isn't very loud, and I've taken out my silencer ring. It only really sings when boost goes up under load. Though I've been thinking about a 6-inch system for more whistle, I think it might become annoying towing so I just ordered a new BHAF from my local parts guy.
