bad u-joint...already?

noticed last weekend my truck had a funny vibration and noise and a bit of a clunk. we put it up on a lift at the local tire shop. turns out the bushing on the rear u joint were fairly worn the driveshaft had tons of play. just took it to the dealer for warranty. is the common on 3rd gens? my 200o had near 600 rwhp and i never had a problem. wierd

Did you correct the d-shaft angles when you put the lift on?

On the 3rd gen trucks, they changed from the dependable non-greasable Spicers to AAM joints. They don't last nearly as long. Replace them with 2nd gen style Spicer joints and you won't have to worry again.

From my experiance the rear joint is always the first to go. I just replaced mine with 43,000. I put on a Precision U-joint, guess I will see if they are any good.
