Crawled under my truck I can get about an inch of movement out of my mount and whole drive train is this normal.

 

Mine does same thing. Been like that since new.

 

believe their has to be some give or something would twist or break

 

I don't know what it is then. When I take off in second I have a shutter in my drive line and a sqweeeeeeek sound. It started doing this before the DD was installed now it is getting worse.

 

I had the same feeling in mine, I got a new tranny mount, the old one felt the same as the new one. I don't know about the shudder. Could be u-joints...

 

Yeah, mine has been like that for 102,000 miles.

 

check the carrier bearing it could be going out maybe

not sure about the squeak but i know when my truck had a shudder the dealer was saying it could be the flywheel springs coming apart apparently it is prone to happen . wasnt sure if the shortbeds had a carrier bearing

 

Sounds like a U-joint going out. Look for red dust on the joints and feel them after a drive. The bad one will be hotter than the other ones.

u joint can squeak if they are dry and shudder on take off/decel from slight change in driveshaft angle...i would start there
