Is there a way to "reset" the APPS on the '06 ? Or erase/reset the "memory" for the tranny shifting characteristics and have it re-learn the shifts? thanks

I searched thru and read lots about the APPS on earlier trucks but couldn't find anything on the 06s for this ... and no reply, so I guess nobody has done this on their 06? or there is no way to do this ourselves? tks

 

What is the APPS? Is that the tranny control module?

 

Yes..thats what it is.

 

On relearning the shifts try pulling both negitive battery cables(kill power)turn key to ON for 30 second(clearing PCM and what not) and hooking cables back up and start let idle a minute or so(relearn)and then driving etc.

 

tks hounddog ... I'll try it, leaving the batteries disconnected for a couple hrs.
I'll try the 03 method minus the gas pedal depressing.
If it changes anything I'll post.

APPS = "Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor"

 

Batterys only need disconnect for 20 or 30 seconds and then key turned to the ON position.Then turn key off and hook back up.Hours won't do a thing more.
