Anyone using Amsoil Syncriomesh?

Standard transmission( Rebuilder of 1000's of G56's) is now recommending Syncromesh trans fluid be used in the G56 as it is a little thicker than ATF4 AND is soft metal safe. They recommend the MTF by amsoil but said any Syncromesh type fluid is good. Just wondering if anyone was running it? I changed out the ATF for a different popular trans fluid and cold shifting was just to difficult. I have been running Penzoil Syncromesh for 1000 miles now and really like it but just ordered some Amsoil MTF. Thanks for the opinions.

I'm running Amsoil MTF with not complaints. But I'm thinking for the service using Redline MTL for the heck of it.

I use whatever shifts the best. I know it's apples and oranges but my nv5600 likes RP better than ams and the nv4500 I had liked ams better than RP. Craig

our trucks with g56's have temp gauges on them we are trying several different oils to find the best one. so far the best by a long ways is a 50-50 blend of synthetic syncromesh sae50 and 5w-30 synthetic syncromesh i used dello and amsoil because that is what i had on hand. you must use one quart over full to lube and cool the front bearing

Carl48,could you list the exact two brands you are combining? That's a combo I'd like to try. GJ didn't work at all for me.

Thanks!

Danderson, I think Delo makes an SAE 50 Synthetic syncromesh and the other half is the amsoil Syncromesh.
