Anyone try the str8 trac steer stabilizer?

would this str8 trac steering stabilizer help my 2004 ram not wander anymore? also is it normal for moog greaseable ball joints to fail in 35,000 km?

No, I don't think they would fail in 35,000 km, unless they had never been greased and your truck does a lot of creek crossings. Moog ball joints do cause wander quite often though. They are often built too tight and it interferes with steering returnability. If you go around a corner and the wheels don't return to straight by themselves, that sounds like your problem.

The Moog lower balljoints are most likely the main cause of your steering wander. There are many thread on the subject.

If you do a search for balljoint threads you will find a lot of members are having wandering problems after installing Moog lower balljoints. Below is a link to a writeup on Carli's website about the probable reason.

http://www.thecarlisuspension.com/bl...og-lowers.html

There are several options for balljoints, XRF, Dynatrac, or Carli seem to be the most popular solutions.

Any steering box stabilizer should tighten up the front end somewhat. There are again many manufacturers. BD, PSC, and DSS come to mind. They all work by securing/stabilizing/preventing movement of the bottom of the steering box though use of a bearing on the sector shaft nut which is held in a fixed position by a crossbar mounting to the sway bar mounting bolts. Again a search will get you many threads and lots of reading on the subject.

track bar

I installed the KORE chase suspension, 3" lift. Stock track bar no problems. 60K miles. I just started replacing all worn steering parts, so I did replace the track bar went with Carli. Didn't notice that much difference but I do like it better, bigger and beefer, it't nice that my Axel is now centered.

Wandering problems since I installed Moog ball joints.
