Looks like there would be good heat transfer, but slow reaction time(through the metal). I dont think you'd be able to react to a problem fast enough if the sensor has to sense the tubing temp after the fact of a too hot condition.

It only fits the 2007 with the 48re. It fits all other 2003-2006 autos just fine. I think the 2007 with 48re comment is because there is more than just the one auto trans possible in 2007 models.

It also looks to be made out of machined aluminum, so it would be pretty responsive to temperature changes; aluminum is a good thermal conductor.
