Anyone know accelerator voltages and resistances ?

Does anyone know the idling and WOT accelerator voltages ? One should be able to obtain them with a scan tool.

Does anyone know the resistances of the Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor ? (APPS)

I've got the 2005 Dodge Ram truck shop manual. In one place it says that the 2 accelerator signals are the same, only one is 1/2 of the other. In another place it says that they are the typical Dodge reversed polarity setup, ie idle is 0.3V and WOT is 4V on signal 1 and signal 2 is idle @4.3V and WOT at 0.3V.

Does anyone know if the engine will run with only ONE of the signals present ?

i don't know what they are, but if you take your multimeter you can back pin the sensor and read out the voltage return to the ecm... just make up your own leads for the meter... every standard DVOM had standard banana plugs connections for the leads on the cables. i've made up many sets for different uses... at work, the electricians have 50' leads so they can check starter cable voltage drop... i use speaker wire for my cables as i have tons of that floating around, but any good quality stranded copper wire will work

Call Banks they can tell you! Best place to check it is right at the TPS/APPS.
I know this only because I had to trace mine when I was having some troubles with the EB ECM. I would tell you mine are supposed to be but it is off topic and probably isnt the same for your 3rd gen anyhow.

I think the 24V and the 3rd Gen used the same voltage until the late 2005s.

Is idle at 0.3V and WOT at 4.3V ? And there are two signals, one is the opposite of the other, ie 0.3 is idle on signal #1 and 4.3 is idle on signal #2 ?

Thanks.
