Anyone go from 3.73 to 4.10 after swapping to 35's? Opinions wanted.

Thinking about just paying for all new ring/pinion and install. Should have just found a truck on the lot with 4.10 . I'm at an effective 3.40 gear with my 315's.

Anyone do this?

Will dually axles off an 06 work on my truck if I change the hubs?

Thanks in advance

You must tow allot or have a auto. I am happy with 37s and 3.73s. They keep the engine in a good rpm range on the highway. I then have 1st if I need extra towing power to start.

You might just try some extra power to help out.

I have 4.10 and also run LT315, love the power!

I even know someone that is running 4.56s with LT315s.

I was thinking the same thought since I have 35" toyo's and 3.73 gearing.
I was thinking abount going to 4.56 gears to compensate.
Is that too much or has anyone out there done this?

By some simple math, once 35" tall tires are installed, on 3.73 gears, the gearing now is comparable to 2.64. In order to compensate for the 35" tires, the new ratio should be 5.25.

This is why I was contemplating with going to 4.56's.

Any thoughts.

Thanks,

JR

With 35's I wouldn't go with more than 4.10's. I am running 4.10's w/ 37's and I'm very happy. I ran 4.56's w/ 37's on my 04 but I wish I would have stuck with 4.10's.
