new to me 2006 3500. I have a problem. when you turn the blower over the second notch it shake real bad. Is there any easy fix or does the dash have to come out

 

It sounds like you have a broken fan on top of the motor. (I was told by the dealer that this is not so uncommon) It can be taken out real easy from the passengers foot well. Motor and fan will drop down once bolts and wires are removed.

 

ok kool I was told the dash has to come out. On the first to notches it blows fine and 3 and 4 it shakes but still works. someone told me it is some sort of dampener in there that is broke.

 

It has to come out to replace it.

 

Do a search for recirc door. had to do mine and it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be.Took me ~ 2 hrs taking my time. There's a great tech write up on here somewhere.

P.S. - the dash had to be partially removed
