Anti-Spin Diff?

Forgive my ignorance(yes I searched, but couldn't find the answer) but what exactly is an Anti-Spin Diff? Is it where you only have one drive tire, but when it starts slipping the other one kicks in? So, with this do you get both tires spinning from power braking? And with no anti spin if you power brake only 1 tire will burn out?? I've asked several people and no one seems to know the answer.

Yes. It is also known as LSD (limited slip differential) and will allow you to turn corners without getting wheel hop from both wheels trying to spin at the same speed. It is supposed to engage when one wheel slips. Which would be the case if you were to power brake your truck. That's hard on equipment!! LOL!!

The Antispin diff uses helical gears instead of clutches so it acts differently than those with clutches. You will notice most difference in situations such as ice and snow.

Ok, i get it now. But would there be a difference between the two if you were trying to burn off? Would the anti and non anti spin both tires?

Only the anti-spin will spin both tires. Otherwise you have an open differential and only one tire will spin.
